ADULT MINISTRY

Congregations like Crosslake Lutheran are some of the last instances of multi-generational life in today's culture. We intentionally gather in a community of believers that has diversity of education, political views, life experiences, vocations, and ages. We share our lives with each other and with those strangers, who become our friends as they join our congregation on a continuing basis. We celebrate life's many joys and endure life's sorrows together. We bring communion to the homebound and sick. We visit those in the hospital or nursing homes. We join hands with each other through all of life's wide variety of experiences.

God is always at work building up believers, as we join together to accomplish far greater works for the sake of the world. We support the wider church as pastors, lay people, and Women of Crosslake Lutheran Church as we participate in conference gatherings and synod assemblies. As we partner with the wider church — including the Northeastern Minnesota Synod, God accomplishes so much more than we can imagine. Together with believers in other places, we meet the needs of a hungry and hurting world.

Adult Ministry serving the community

We respond to God's call to a mission of service to those people with whom we engage in our daily life. We are integrated into communities — both to live as upright citizens in civic life as well as to serve our neighbor. We use the assets we have in our congregation to address the hurts and the hopes expressed by our neighbors. We feed, clothe, and equip people around us to provide a public witness to the life we have in Christ Jesus.
